George qualified as a CA in 1972 and had been a tax partner for many years with an international accountancy practice before he joined Ritson Smith in 2002.

George also has extensive experience in corporate finance, and has worked on a number of major acquisitions, sales and reconstructions, including one over £100 million in value.

George follows most sports and, together with his wife Pat, runs a horse stud farm specialising in prize-winning Welsh cobs.
