Our links with ICAS

Eighteen of Ritson Smith’s partners and staff in Aberdeen, Ellon and Aboyne are members of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).  (ICAS received its Royal Charter in 1854 and is the oldest professional body of accountants in the world.)

 
ICAS was also the first body to adopt the designation "Chartered Accountant" and the designatory letters "CA" are still an exclusive privilege in the UK for members of the Scottish Institute.  Ritson Smith is an Authorised Training Office and as such is fully authorised by ICAS to train CA students.

Unlike national practices, you can expect total continuity in your dealings with us – we don’t shuffle our people round the country every couple of years.
